The Queen has lost a bit of sparkle
Madonna's 11th tour, Madame X, took place in Chicago, Illinois.
The show started at a very late 11pm and concluded around 1:45am, much to the exhaustion of the audience, resulting in a lack of energy throughout the concert.
While we had great seats in the 5th row on stage right, Madonna predominantly favored stage left, although she did venture up the aisle near us.
The anticipated heavy political theme of the show wasn't as intense as expected, with a more subdued message urging society to be more socially active, which left me feeling less inspired than I had hoped.
Madonna didn't display much dancing, leaving that mostly to her talented dancers, and her vocals seemed pre-recorded without a visible live band, which was a disappointment.
Despite these criticisms, I'm still pleased to have attended the concert, especially with the close view from the upgraded seats, but it was bittersweet to witness the fading sparkle of the pop Queen's legacy.
